PRACTICE AREAS
As a partner with the firm, David Menefee represents individuals and businesses in a variety of areas, including corporate law, real estate law, and estate planning. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, with experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel for two publicly-traded companies.
PRIOR WORK
Before joining Lacy Malone in 2016, Mr. Menefee was in-house counsel at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. (a Division of Novartis AG), in Fort Worth with primary responsibility for legal matters impacting Alcon’s U.S. and Asian business units including complex business transactions, M&A, antitrust, real estate, construction, sales and marketing, employment and compliance matters. Prior to joining Alcon, David was in-house counsel at i2 Technologies, Inc., in Dallas with primary responsibility for i2’s partner alliance program and consulting/software implementation division.
David began his career in private practice as a general business attorney at one of Fort Worth’s larger law firms, Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff and Miller, where he represented individuals and businesses in a variety of matters, including real estate (residential and commercial), oil and gas, purchase and sale transactions, commercial lending, contracts, business organizations, construction law, bankruptcy, and probate and estate planning.
